I. Organising Companies
TGV Lyria, a simplified joint-stock company with a capital of €80,000, whose registered office is located at 25 rue Titon, 75011 Paris, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 428,678,627,
(hereinafter referred to as the “Organiser”), is organising a competition entitled: “45 years: SWITZERLAND <> FRANCE,” as part of several events to mark the 45th anniversary of the first high-speed Franco-Swiss rail journey.
Participation in the Competition is subject to unreservedly accepting these rules.
II. Purpose of the Competition
The Competition is being organised as part of the celebrations marking the 45th anniversary of the first Franco-Swiss high-speed rail journey and to coincide with a number of special events organised by TGV Lyria.
These events include:
- A special handing out of “Switzerland <> France” pastries on board three TGV Lyria trains connecting Switzerland to Paris on 3 October 2026 (9222 Zurich – Paris / 9268 Lausanne – Paris / 9776 Geneva – Paris;
- Event centred around the “Switzerland <> France” pastries from the Chez Juliette – pain d’amour bakery and patisserie in Zurich, from 30 September to 4 October 2026;
- A special event at the Espace Commines in Paris on 27 September 2026.
The aim of the Competition is to celebrate this landmark anniversary and to give participants the chance to win a journey in Première Signature class with TGV Lyria, depending on their country of residence:
- For people residing in France: a return trip for 2 people in Première Signature class from Paris to one of the four Swiss cities served by TGV Lyria: Geneva, Lausanne, Basel or Zurich.
- For people living in Switzerland: a return trip for 2 people in Première Signature class from Geneva, Lausanne, Basel or Zurich to Paris.
III. Terms of Participation
The Competition is open to any natural person of legal age (aged 18 or over) who is resident in Switzerland or France and has internet access and a valid email address.
The following are excluded: TGV Lyria staff, partners involved in the event, press guests and influencers, and anyone who has been involved in organising the Competition.
Only one entry per person (same name and same email address) is permitted. Any entry that is incomplete, fraudulent or non-compliant will be removed.
IV. How to Enter
Participation in the Competition is possible under the following condition:
- A free option with no obligation to purchase, using the QR codes available at the following locations:
- Espace Commines in Paris on 27 September 2026
- TGV Lyria trains on 3 October 2026
- “Chez Juliette – pain d’amour” in Zurich, from 30 September to 4 October 2026
To submit a valid entry, each participant must provide complete and accurate details for the compulsory fields marked with an asterisk on the form (in particular: surname, first name, valid email address, country of residence).
Any entry containing incomplete, incorrect or falsified contact details, or which does not comply with the terms and conditions set out in these rules, will be deemed invalid.
The Organiser reserves the right to carry out any necessary checks on participants’ identity, age and country of residence, as well as to verify compliance with the “only one entry per person (same name and same email address) is permitted” rule.
In the event of suspected fraud, cheating, multiple entries or, more generally, non-compliance with these rules, the Organiser may exclude the participant concerned, cancel their entries and, if necessary, revoke the award of the prize.
V. Duration of the Competition
The Competition runs from 27 September 2026 to 4 October 2026 and will be organised according to the following dates:
- 27 to 29 September 2026: Espace Commines, 17 Rue Commines, Paris
- 30 September to 4 October: Chez Juliette – bread d’amour, Bleicherweg 72, Zurich
- 3 October 2026: on the following TGV Lyria trains:
- 9222 Zurich – Paris
- 9268 Lausanne – Paris
- 9776 Geneva – Paris
The Organiser reserves the right to modify, extend, postpone or cancel the Competition should it be necessary to do so or in the event of force majeure.
VI. Winner Selection
The winner will be chosen by a prize draw from among the valid entries. The draw will take place on 8 October 2026 at 11 a.m. The winner will be contacted by email from 12 October onwards. If the winner does not reply within 5 calendar days of this email being sent, or if the email address is invalid, the winner will be deemed to have forfeited their prize, and no claims may be made. In this case, a new draw may be held to select another winner under the same conditions.
VII. Prizes
There are two prizes to be won in the Competition, depending on the winner’s country of residence:
- One prize for people residing in France: a return trip for 2 people in Première Signature class from Paris, with a choice of destination to any of the four Swiss cities served by TGV Lyria: Geneva, Lausanne, Basel or Zurich;
- One prize for people living in Switzerland: a return trip for 2 people in Première Signature class from Geneva, Lausanne, Basel or Zurich to Paris.
All other costs, including travel to and from the departure and arrival stations, accommodation, insurance, administrative formalities (passport, visa, etc.) and, where applicable, local taxes or charges, shall be borne exclusively by the winner and their companion.
The prizes are issued in the recipient’s name, are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be converted into cash. Certain periods may be excluded, in particular public holidays, peak periods or specific promotional offers by TGV Lyria. The list of these excluded periods will be provided to the winner when they are notified.
Winners are solely responsible for ensuring they hold valid travel documents at the time of travel (identity card, passport, visa, etc.) and for checking any health requirements in force in the destination country before their departure.
VIII. Liability
The Organiser shall not be held liable for any technical problems, loss of entry, or any alteration, suspension or cancellation of the Competition in the event of force majeure.
IX. Personal Data
Personal data is collected solely for the purposes of organising the Competition.
Personal data collected in connection with this Competition is processed by TGV Lyria, in its capacity as data controller.
Purposes and legal basis
The data is used for:
– managing your participation in the Competition (recording entries, the prize draw, selecting and notifying winners, and awarding prizes), in accordance with these rules;
– compliance with the Organiser’s legal and regulatory obligations;
– where applicable, sending commercial offers from TGV Lyria and its partners, subject to your consent where this has been obtained.
Data collected
The data collected includes, in particular: surname, first name, email address, country of residence, as well as, where applicable, the information required to organise the trip (preferred travel dates, departure/arrival city).
Recipients
The recipients of your data are the authorised departments within TGV Lyria, as well as its technical service providers involved in the organisation and management of the competition (website hosting, processing of entries, sending of emails, etc.).
Transfers outside the European Union
Your data may be transferred to Switzerland, a country in respect of which the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision.
Retention
Participants’ data is retained for the duration of the Competition, plus a further three-month period for the purposes of handling claims. Winners’ data may be retained for a maximum of one year from the date the prize is awarded, for the purposes of providing evidence and ensuring the Organiser complies with its legal obligations.
Your rights
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (known as the GDPR) and the amended French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your data, as well as the right to object to its processing and the right to data portability, subject to the conditions set out in the relevant legislation. You can also set out instructions regarding what should happen to your data after your death.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).
Mandatory data is indicated by an asterisk on the form. Failure to provide this information will result in your entry into the Competition not being accepted.
X. Image Rights and Public Relations
Unless the winner expressly objects, they authorise TGV Lyria to use their first name, the initial of their surname and, where applicable, photographs taken during the prize-giving ceremony for public relations purposes relating to the Competition, without financial compensation.
XI. Acceptance of the Rules
Participation in the Competition implies full acceptance of these rules. They are available free of charge on request from the Organiser or via the entry form.
XII. Applicable Law
These rules are subject to French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action is taken.
