So you’re off to Paris this summer...

Paris in summer is a unique blend of high culture and simple pleasure. It's about outings to exhibitions and drinks on a terrace, strolls along the Seine and picnics in parks. Here are three ideas for your itinerary:

  • All aboard! Rent a boat and sail up the Canal de l’Ourcq for over 20 km from the Basin de La Villette (from €40 an hour – no licence required).

  • Head to Buttes-Chaumont or the banks of the Seine for a simple picnic. Grab a blanket, pick up a baguette and enjoy summer in the heart of the city.

  • Take the family to the zoo at the Jardin des Plantes Menagerie .
See exotic animals in the heart of Paris: lions, red pandas and panthers will delight young and old alike. Then head to the gardens next door for a snack in the sun amid this slice of greenery in the middle of the city.

  • And if you're feeling brave, you can swim in the Seine from 5 July at locations across Paris 😊
📍 Le Bras Marie, opposite Île Saint Louis (4th arrondissement)
    📍 Bercy (12th arrondissement)
📍 Grenelle, near the Eiffel Tower (7th arrondissement)
