1. From the centre to... the centre
When it comes to transport logistics, nothing beats the train. If you’re organising a seminar in France, you’ll quickly find that all medium-sized towns have a train station. So, in terms of logistics and timing, the train can meet all your needs. Imagine if you had to organise travel to a seminar for 40 people by plane. First, you’d have to sort out transport to get them to the airport, making sure they arrive well in advance to avoid any nasty surprises and to get everyone checked in. Then, once they’ve landed, you have to arrange and manage transport to get them to their final destination. By train, it’s much simpler: one ticket, departure from the city centre and arrival close to your destination. For example, if your company is based in Paris and wishes to organise a few days of team-building in Geneva, it is much easier, logistically, to take the train rather than the plane. Once your teams arrive in Geneva, they can start exploring the city from the minute they step off the train. It’s a win for your employees, the environment and your events planning!
2. Work on board the train
While a business seminar is an excuse to take it easy for some, travelling for business is also an opportunity for collaboration to enhance your brand. Often, on business trips, the likes of presentations, brainstorming sessions and workshops are organised so that everyone feels they have a stake in the future of the project. Sometimes, employees or executives might even present. Unlike other modes of transport, the train – with its spacious tables, comfortable seats and on-board Wi-Fi – offers those who wish to work on such event elements or finalise their presentations the time and space to do so.
3. Charter a train
Did you know it was possible to charter our trains? Depending on the number of participants in your business seminar, you can hire a private train. That way, your business trip starts the moment you take your seat on board. You’ll be seated next to a colleague with whom you can discuss your destination (whether it’s a surprise or not), the seminar programme and any presentations you may be giving. The cherry on the top? To really wow your seminar participants, on their arrival at the station, the signs will display the name of the company as they make their way to the platform!
4. Reduce your CO2 emissions
Everyone knows that air travel has a significant carbon footprint. Travelling by train, on the other hand, can help you meet your annual sustainability goals! Plus, a seminar held nearby and accessible by train can be logistically convenient for you and your teams. As well as ensuring a smaller carbon footprint at the end of the year, train travel is a way of demonstrating to your employees that you take your CSR commitments – and their environmental concerns – seriously. You’ll be sending a strong message to your employees, right from the very start of your seminar.
5. Top-notch transport
It’s all about your comfort! That’s our promise when you choose to travel to your business seminar by train. First, there are the comfortable seats and plenty of leg room. Next, there’s the attentive service from the moment you board. Then, there’s the baggage service that looks after your precious belongings during the journey. Finally, there are myriad activities, on board or on the platform, to bring your teams together or introduce them to, for example, the CSR and environmental challenges of the future.
6. Food and drink on board
If your employees feel peckish during the journey, they can simply walk to the buffet coach to enjoy some light refreshments. Or, if you’re considering chartering a train, you can also treat them to a buffet or aperitif of your choice prepared by our team.
Still not totally sure about taking the train to your next seminar? Our team has plenty more reasons why you should and is only a phone call away. For a big business trip with a tiny carbon footprint, the train is the way to go.
